Notes of thanks

Thank you to all the dads, stepdads and guardians who serve our students as dads! Happy Father’s Day

Thank you to all of the parents in Mme Moreau’s Kindergarten class who came out for our Kindergarten celebration last week.

Thank you to all parents who went to Drumheller to the Tyrell Museum with our Grade 3 and 4 students. The students had a wonderful day of learning, and they appreciated having you there.

Merci to all the parents who came during our IPP meetings this week. You are an integral partner in the academic success of our students.

Un gros merci for all the donations for our recycling initiative this year. Our new water bottle station is installed in the main foyer of the school.

Lastly thank you to our School Council and to Sue Contini for the beautiful living wall at the entrance to our school. The floral baskets are so unique and creative, and we look forward to having lots of plants there for our community to see in the years to come.

Bonne semaine

This week:

These are the days with cooler mornings and warmer afternoons, which means jackets sometimes come off when playing outside and don’t make it back inside. Please ask your child(ren) to check the lost and found for any missing items. We will be packing up and donating any leftover items on June 27. Make sure you have a good look for those missing water bottles, hats, gloves, hoodies and jackets!  ·

We would also like to remind families to check your MyCBE account for any outstanding fees to be paid and kindly ask that they are taken care of prior to the end of the school year.

For students staying at William Reid or moving to Elboya for grade five next year, you do not need to do anything about registration. If your family has plans to change schools and you have not yet shared that with us, please call the office.

Grade 4 Updates

Farewell / Moving Camp

Families of Grade five students and all students are invited to the assembly. We will also be presenting the DELF certificates to all grade four students who took this international exam at this assembly.

Volunteer Process

If you started the Volunteer process with ePIC Please remember to Email your Police Clearance letter to the school. EPIC deletes them after 90 days and it does not come to us or get cleared on the site unless you send it to us.

This step is being missed as people think the system clears them, when it does not.

School Calendar – Download or Subscribe

Calendar subscriptions allow users to easily subscribe to a curated list of events on their devices.
Parents and students can now subscribe to the school calendar with the option to choose all categories or a specific one, giving them access to events anytime. Using a calendar subscription offers several benefits for both parents and schools:

  • Convenience: A subscription keeps your calendar automatically updated for parents, eliminating the need for manual entries or updates.
  • Real-time Updates: Any changes or additions to events are instantly reflected in your calendar, ensuring your parents have the latest information.
  • Timesaving: Subscriptions save you and your parents time by streamlining the process of adding and managing events, reducing the manual effort involved.
  • Consistency: It helps maintain consistency across multiple devices, ensuring that your school calendar data is synchronized and accessible from various platforms.
  • Automatic Reminders: Many calendar subscriptions come with built-in reminder features, helping your parents stay organized and on top of your school schedule effortlessly.

On the Calendar page, scroll down to the bottom left to find the link to subscribe to the school calendar on Mac, Android and desktop devices.
